About this website

In The Detail coordinates kitchen and bathroom renovations. This notice explains how information supplied through our project enquiry form is used. To ask a privacy question, call 07507 706904.

What we collect and why

We collect your name, email, telephone number, project postcode, service, approximate budget, timeframe and any project details you choose to share. We use these details to understand your request, respond to you and discuss the services you may need. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your description.

The lawful basis for handling your enquiry is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Security controls also process a short-lived, hashed network identifier to help prevent abusive submissions, on the basis of legitimate interests in protecting the website. The form's privacy acknowledgement is not consent to marketing.

Storage, access and sharing

Enquiries are saved in a server-side database, not published on the website. They are intended for the people responsible for responding to your project enquiry. Hosting and database providers process the data to operate the website. We do not sell your enquiry details or enrol you in marketing.

We will only share necessary project information with relevant professionals when appropriate to your request. Email notifications and CRM connections are not currently enabled.

How long information is kept

Information should be kept only for as long as it is needed to respond to your enquiry and manage any resulting project, subject to necessary legal record-keeping. Before public launch, the business must confirm its operational retention schedule and deletion process.

Your choices and rights

You can ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information or deletion where applicable. You may also have rights to restrict processing, object to processing or receive your information in a portable form. Contact us using the details above. You may raise a concern with the UK's Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab).

Cookies and browser storage

This site does not implement advertising cookies, analytics cookies or non-essential tracking. There is therefore no marketing-cookie consent banner. The enquiry form uses essential session storage to keep your draft in the current browser tab so you can move between steps and recover from errors. Drafts expire after two hours and are removed after successful submission; closing the tab normally clears session storage. If your browser blocks storage, the questionnaire still works with an in-memory draft.

If non-essential tracking is introduced in future, this notice and an appropriate consent mechanism will need to be updated first.
